QSE relapses, loses 79 points

Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) erased Monday’s gains after dropping 0.81% to 78.9 points to 9619.48 in Wednesday’s trading session.

QE Al Rayan Islamic Index also decreased by 0.38% to 3,468.92 points. Similarly, All Share Index slipped 0.74% to 2,568.68 points.

Trading volume edged down 28.5% to 7.42 million shares, against 10.37 million shares on Monday, while trading value was 24% lower to QAR255.95 million versus QAR336.68 million.

Today’s laggards were the real estate sector with a decline of 1.29%. Meanwhile, the insurance sector was the only riser by 0.27%.

Qatari Investors Group was the best advancer with 2.53% growth, while the worst decliner was Gulf International by a fall of 6.06%.

The most active stock was, in terms of trading volume and value, was Gulf International, since 1.36 million shares worth QAR42.33 million were traded.
