QSE retreats 0.22% amid collective sectors decline

Doha - Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index ended Wednesday’s session in red, as it retreated 0.22% or 22.34 points, reaching 10,291.86 points.

Turnover dropped to QAR 502.82 million on Wednesday compared to QAR 665.89 million on Tuesday, as trading volume reached 12.64 million shares from 16.19 million.

Sectors declined collectively, led by the insurance sector with 0.69%, which was weighed down by three companies. Qatar General Insurance was the top loser in the sector with 8.97%

Vodafone Qatar was the most active stock with 2.27 million traded shares, while Qatar Industries recorded the highest trading value with QAR 108.43 million.

The general index of the QSE tumbled mid-session on Wednesday, weighed down by five sectors led by industry.
