Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) main index went up 0.77% or 59.33 points, reaching 7,773.59 points, by the end of week on Thursday, 7 December, against 7,714.26 points in the week earlier.
The QSE’s market capitalisation achieved growth by QAR 7.5 billion.
On a weekly basis, the bourse stocks’ market capitalisation value rose 1.8% to QAR 425.6 billion, from QAR 418.1 billion.
Trading volume fell 3.8%, reaching 58.5 million shares on Thursday, 7 December, compared to 60.8 million shares in the week before, while liquidity retreated 21.2%, to QAR 1.1 billion, from QAR 1.4 billion.
On a weekly basis, transactions decreased 6.3% to 21,300, from 22,700.
The banks sector acquired 38.3% of the QSE’s trading value, followed by industrials with 23.7%, real estate with 14.8, and transportation with 8.3%.
The industrials sector acquired 29.1% of traded volume, followed by banks with 24.3%, real estate with 23.8%, and telecoms with 10.4%.
Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock acquired 16.1% of the traded stocks’ value, followed by Masraf Al Rayan’s stock with 7.8%, and Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding Company’s stock with 5.5%.
During the week, 29 stocks rose, topped by Qatar Insurance Company’s (QIC) stock with 17.01%, whereas 16 stocks fell, led by Ahli Bank Qatar’s stock with 11.36%.
