Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Thursday’s trading leaping 0.24% or 23 points to the level of 9,791.65 points.
Trading volume decreased 18.3% to 3.66 million shares from 4.48 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also shrank 16.7% to QAR 134.83 million from QAR 161.92 million.
The telecom sector advanced 1.14% as Ooredoo grew 1.5%.
The real estate sector also rose by 1%, backed by an increase of 1.43% and 1.34% in Ezdan Holding and United Development respectively.
On the other hand, the banking sector fell 0.38%.
Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance topped the green list by adding 4.83%, while Mesaieed Petrochemical led decliners after falling 4.57%.
Qatar First Bank was the most active stock with a trading volume of 623,640 shares, whereas Qatar Islamic Bank made the highest liquidity of QAR 27.06 million.
