QSE rises 0.72% at Wednesday’s closing

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) increased 0.72% or 75.3 points to 10,466.99 points on Wednesday.

The sectors went up collectively, led by telecommunications as Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar edged up 3.31% and 0.63%, respectively.

The real estate sector increased 0.62%, led by Barwa Real Estate which rose 2.5%.

Industrials gained 0.56% as Industries Qatar increased 2.1%, while banks and financial services went up 0.4% after Qatar National Bank levelled up 0.61%.

Medicare Group topped rising stocks with an increase of 4.8%, while Ahli Bank retreated 5.15%

Wednesday’s traded volume dropped to 8.36 million shares against 10.45 million shares on Tuesday, as liquidity declined to QAR 240.27 million against QAR 309.07 million.

Vodafone Qatar led in terms of traded volume with 1.57 million shares, while Masraf Al Rayan led in terms of liquidity with QAR 30.17 million.

The QSE’s index rose 0.19% at Wednesday’s opening at 10,411.58 points.
