Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Sunday’s trading in the green, backed by the growth of five sectors.
By 09:57 am Qatar time, the general index inched up 13.4 points, or 0.15%, to 8,931.85 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 44 million after 2.2 million shares changed hands through 740 transactions.
The goods sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 0.72% as Medicare Group levelled up 1.42%.
On the flipside, the industrial sector headed the market’s losers falling 0.01%, followed by the transportation sector, which declined 0.46%.
Al Ahli Bank’s stock topped the bourse’s gainers rising 2.31%, while Mesaieed’s stock topped the decliners falling 2.3%.
Qatar Fuel’s stock, which went up 1.32%, led the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 11.4 million, while Vodafone Qatar’s stock, which advanced 1.11%, headed the bourse in terms of trading volume with 1 million shares.
