Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Monday’s session in green, for the second session in a row, after recording consecutive losses during the past few sessions.
The main index rose 0.93% or 75.29 points to 8,212.86 points.
The rise was backed by the increase in six sectors, topped by the industrials with 1.35%, as its nine stocks rose collectively, led by National Cement with 2.37%.
The banks sector also went up 0.57%, on the back of Ahli Bank, the top gainer, with 9.64%.
On the other hand, the real estate sector was the only loser, with 1.62%, pushed down by Ezdan and Mazaya Qatar, with 3.07% and 0.66%, respectively.
Turnover hiked to QAR 186.04 million from QAR 183.04, as trading volume increased to 10.13 million shares from 6.96 million shares.
Qatar First Bank, down 2.39%, achieved the highest trading volume with 1.9 million shares, while QNB generated the highest turnover with QAR 44.5 million, rising 0.59%.
