Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index grew 21.66 points, or 0.22%, to close at 9,765.88 points on Tuesday.
The QSE’s liquidity climbed to QAR 326.31 million on Tuesday, from QAR 247.02 million in the previous session, while trading volume increased to 10.73 million shares, against 10.25 million on Monday.
The transportation sector led risers and grew 1.39% after Qatar Navigation (Milaha) went up 2.40%.
Meanwhile, the industrials sector added 0.48% as Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding advanced 2.38%.
On the other hand, the banking sector inched down 0.01% as Qatar Oman Investment declined 2.56% after its ordinary general meeting (OGM) approved distributing cash dividends of 3% of the share’s nominal value.
Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance topped gainers with 10%, while Ezdan Holding Group headed fallers and dropped 2.92%.
Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding registered the highest trading volume with 2.12 million shares, while Qatar Fuel (Woqod), up 1.60%, led the QSE in terms of turnover of QAR 82.42 million.
