QSE rises 47 pts amid thin liquidity at Monday’s close

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index grew 47.47 points, or 0.47%, to close at 10,154.89 points on Monday.

The QSE’s liquidity retreated to QAR 290.56 million on Monday from QAR 360.58 million in the previous session, while trading volume fell to 14.27 million shares, compared to 18.58 million on Sunday.

The goods sector led risers and added 0.61% after Zad Holding surged 9.98% to QAR 147.60, its highest level ever.

On the other hand, the real estate sector headed fallers with 3.88% as Ezdan Holding declined 6.80%.

Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) stock, which dropped 0.69%, registered the highest trading volume with 3.29 million shares, while the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, which declined 1.48%, led the QSE in terms of turnover of QAR 27.25 million.
