QSE rises 56.63 pts at Monday’s close on real estate, banks

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Monday 0.56% or 56.63 points higher to reach 10,118.13 points.

Most of the sectors rose, with the exception of the consumer goods and services sector which dropped 0.59% as Zad Holding Company declined 3.66%.

The real estate sector led risers with 1.13% after Barwa Real Estate and Ezdan Holding Group increased 1.35% and 1.27%, respectively.

The insurance sector grew 0.61%.

The banks sector went up 0.48% as National Leasing Holding (Alijarah), Doha Bank, and Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) levelled up 1.75%, 1.27%, and 0.79%, respectively.

The industrials sector rose 0.36% after Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company (QIMC) increased 2.6%, followed by Industries Qatar with 0.87% and Qatar National Cement Company with 0.71%.

Trading volume dropped to 8.5 million shares on Monday against 9.3 million shares on Sunday, while liquidity declined to QAR 170.98 million against QAR 205.88 million.

Vodafone Qatar’s stock led in terms of traded volume with 3.18 million shares traded at a value of QAR 29.89 million.
