Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Monday’s trading session in the green, supported by the growth of four sectors.
By 09:45 am Qatar time, the general index grew 0.63% to 9,049.43 points, adding 56.63 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 95.8 million after 719,600 shares changed hands through 355 transactions.
The banking sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 1.24%, boosted by Masraf Al Rayan and Qatar National Bank (QNB) which went up 2.50% and 1.90%, respectively.
Similarly, the real estate sector levelled up after Ezdan Holding Group and Mazaya Real Estate Development increased 2.18% and 0.31%, respectively.
On the flipside, the telecommunication sector headed the bourse’s losers falling 0.24% due to Vodafone Qatar’s 0.59 drop.
The goods and services sector inched down 0.05%, dragged by Medicare Group which declined 0.26%.
QNB’s stock led the market in terms of trading volume with 546,400 shares, generating QAR 87.4 million in liquidity.
