Doha - Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Monday’s trading session adding 0.67% or 74.29 points, closing at the level of 11,128.17 points.
The index was backed by the rise in the banks and financial services stocks, as Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) gained 3.49% and was today’s top gainer, Doha Bank also grew 2.45%, while the sector as a whole rose 0.49%.
A total of 6 sectors increased today with the telecom sector adding 2% as Ooredoo surged 2.54%.
On the other hand, the consumer goods and services sector was the only decliner, losing 0.31%, dragged down by Cinema, Zad, and Widam which declined 10%, 3.12% and 0.61% respectively.
Total traded volume increased to 8.13 million shares from 6.77 million shares in previous session, while total turnover grew to QAR 371.87 million from QAR 230.58 million on Sunday.
