Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Wednesday in green, after recovering from its losses in the morning, backed by the rise in five sectors.
The main index rose 0.18% or 14.57 points to 8,124.73 points.
The industrials sector topped the gainers with 0.54%, with four stocks hiking, led by National Cement with 3.06%.
The banks sector grew marginally by 0.03%, with many stocks rising, led by Al Khaliji Commercial with 2.54%, after declaring financial results on Tuesday.
On the other side, two sectors dropped, the consumer goods with 1.54%, dragged by Cinema with 9.80%, and the insurance sector with 1.31%, pressured by Al Khaleej Takaful with 3.91%.
Turnover grew to QAR 186.02 million from QAR 139.72 million, while trading volume rose to 8.36 million shares from 5.10 million shares.
Vodafone Qatar, down 0.14%, achieved the highest trading volume, with 2.03 million shares, while QNB acquired the highest liquidity with QAR 31.54 million, declining 0.09% though.
