QSE rises on real estate, banks stocks at open

Dubai-Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) gained 0.44% or 43 points to reach 9,868.33 points by 10:15am Qatar time.

Turnover stood at QAR 39.2 million after trading 1.2 million shares through 560 transactions.

The real estate sector topped gainers with a 1.07% growth, backed by the rise of Mazaya Real Estate Development and Barwa Real Estate

The banks sector levelled up 0.8%, spurred by National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) which climbed 1.08%.

The consumer goods and services sector was the only loser with a marginal decline of 0.02%.

Islamic Holding Group topped gainers after adding 3.28%, while Doha Insurance Co led losers with a 1.04% decline.

Barwa Real Estate was the most active company with a trading volume of 241,900 shares, growing 2.15%.

Gulf International Services, which went up 1.2%, was the value leader after generating QAR 8.5 million.
