Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Wednesday at the level of 10,366.93 points after rising 0.68% or 69.54 points.
Al Rayan Islamic Index and the All Share Index also grew by 1.21% and 0.71% respectively.
Turnover increased 11.3% to QAR 529.93 million from QAR 476.26 million on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, trading volume decreased 2.2% to 15.14 million shares from 15.48 million shares exchanged yesterday.
The real estate rose 1.9%, backed by a growth of 2.76% in Ezdan Holding.
The consumer goods and services also leapt by 1.9% as Medicare Group advanced 5.08%.
The insurance sector fell alone by 0.68%, squeezed by Qatar Insurance and Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance.
National Leasing Holding (Alijarah) topped gainers by adding 10%, while Islamic Holding headed losers after dropping 3.6%.
Alijarah was the most traded stock with a volume of 2.8 million shares exchanged at QAR 59.23 million.
Widam Food, the heaviest-traded stock, generated QAR 71 million after 10.5 million shares were exchanged. The stock rose 0.6%.
The bourse’s main gauge closed yesterday with a rise of 0.64% or 65.87 point6s to the level of 10,297.39 points.
