Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index rose by about 0.41% or 42 points in early trading on Thursday, reaching the level of 10,554.87 points, amid positive performance by most of its sectors.
QE Al Rayan Islamic Index, however, plummeted by about 10% to 3,950 points, while the All Shares Index opened the session with a surge of 0.38% to 2,815 points.
Morning trading volume reached about QAR 14.89 million through around 270 trades on 285,300 shares.
The insurance sector was led the green list after rising by 1.54%, while the services headed the red with a fall of 0.41%.
The Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance share topped the risers with 2.66% up, while the Gulf Warehousing Company share was the weakest with a drop of 6.83%.
The bourse’s main index closed yesterday with a 0.95% decrease to 10,511.50 points, after losing about 100.30 points.
