Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Sunday’s session with a rise of 0.41% or 41 points to the level of 9,982.49 points.
The industrial was the best performing sector with a growth of 1.43%, followed by the insurance and banking as they increased 1.21% and 0.25% respectively.
On the other hand, the consumer goods and services, transportation, real estate and telecom sectors shrank 1.09%, 0.45%, 0.35% and 0.26% respectively.
Trading volume reached 5.25 million shares exchanged through 2,250 transactions, making a turnover of QAR 149.8 million.
Gulf International made the highest trading activity with a volume of 2.32 million shares exchanged at QAR 85.27 million. The stock rose 9.35%.
The index closed Thursday at 9,941.42 points after rising 0.54% or 53.03 points.
