Mubasher: Cash dividends of the Qatar Stock Exchange's (QSE) listed firms rose 20% for the fiscal year ended 31 March 2018, according to the bourse’s recent statement.
Dividends' total value amounted to QAR 23.3 billion in the previous year, the statement showed.
It is worth noting that profits of the QSE’s listed companies levelled up 1.1% to QAR 38.56 billion in 2017, compared to QAR 38.13 billion in the year before.
The QSE includes 45 stocks divided on seven sectors, namely the banking, industrial, real estate, transportation, goods, insurance and telecommunication.
By 11:45 am Qatar time, the general index retreated 205.91 points, or 2.25%, to 8,892 points.
