Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose this week by 1.54% or 158.08 points to the level of 10,396.25 points.
Al Rayan Islamic Index and the All Share Index also grew by 1.1% and 1.37% respectively.
Trading volume reached 55.5 million shares which were exchanged at QAR 1.85 billion through executing 27,800 transactions.
The real estate was the week’s best performing sector with a growth of 5.2%, while the insurance was the worst after falling 1.27%.
Out of 43 companies, 21 shares rose, 20 declined and the remaining two stood at the same rates.
National Leasing Holding (Alijarah) led the week’s trading with 10.16% of the total trading value, followed by Widam Food and Gulf Warehousing with 10.13% and 7.17% respectively.
The market value rose 1.33% to QAR 555.15 billion by the end of the week, versus QAR 547.85 billion last week.
