QSE’s main index closes in green, gains 42 points

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s main index closed Thursday rising 0.41% or about 41.53 points to the level of 10,258.72 points.  

Al Rayan Islamic Index edged 0.11% up to 3,798.82 points, and the All Shares Index rallied 0.38% to 2,732.5 points.

Trading volume came to 6.27 million shares worth QAR 229.88 million through 3,797 trades, compared to 5.39 million shares exchanged in 3,334 trades valued at QAR 175.47 million.

QSE’s sectors rose semi-collectively, topped by the telecom with 1.21%, while the transportation fell alone by 0.55%.

The index was supported by the increase in 23 shares, out of 43, while 13 others closed down, and five shares were flat.

Gulf International led the gainers with a growth of 5.30%, while Ahli Bank headed the losers with a fall of 7.21%.

Gulf international made the biggest trading volume activity with about 1.3 million traded shares, and the highest trading value activity with QAR 65 million.

The benchmark index closed Wednesday rising 0.42% to 10,217.19 points.
