Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Sunday with a fall of 0.19% or 18.7 points to the level of 9,730.1 points, its lowest level in three months.
Al Rayan Islamic Index and the All Share Index dipped 0.27% and 0.3% respectively.
Turnover shrank 55.5% to QAR 112.27 million from QAR 252.43 million on Thursday. Trading volume also decreased by 47.7% to 3.87 million shares from 7.4 million shares.
Insurance was the worst performing sector after slipping 2.12% as Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance topped losers with a 7.2% decline.
The real estate sector fell 0.44% as Ezdan moved 0.75% down.
The banking sector also came in red with a fall of 4.73% in Ahli Bank.
Meanwhile, the industrial and consumer goods and services sectors grew by 0.13% and 0.1% respectively.
Dlala Holding led gainers with a growth of 2.7% to QAR 22.13.
Qatar First Bank was the most traded stock with a volume of 628,700 shares exchanged at QAR 8.7 million, falling 1.01%.
Dlala made the highest liquidity with QAR 12.6 million through the exchange of 562,400 shares.
