Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s main index closed Thursday at the level of 10,429.36 points after shrinking 0.06% or 6.31% at close.
Al Rayan Islamic Index rose 0.27% to 3,855.82 points, while the All Shares Index fell 0.27% to 2,776.78 points.
Trading volume reached 5.34 million shares exchanged at QAR 213.34 million through 2,705 trades, versus 3.90 million shares worth QAR 152.02 million reached through 2,862 trades.
The Industrial sector topped the green zone with 1.15% increase, while real estate slipped 1.75%.
Out of 42 stocks changed hands today, 27 closed higher, 13 others went down and the remaining two were flat.
Zad Holding was the top gainer with a growth of 9.99%, whereas Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance led the losers after dropping 8.26%.
Zad Holding was the largest traded stock with about 552,100 shares exchanged, and Ahli Bank Qatar topped the value chart with liquidity near QAR 33 million.
The index closed yesterday at 10,435.67 points after rising 0.36%.
