QSE’s main index erases losses, gains 444.24 points

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index closed Saturday at 10,535.05 points after rising 4.40% or around 444.24 points.

QE Al Rayan Islamic Index ended trading with a 3.79% increase to 3,943.77 points. The All Share Index also leapt 3.99% to 2,806.17 points.

Trading volume reached about 15.34 million shares exchanged in 8,028 trades, making a trading value of QAR 687.21 million.

Financial analyst and economic advisor Ayoub Eshban told Mubasher that support levels ranged today between 10,500 and 10,450 points, while the resistances were 10,600, 10,700 and 10,850 points.

 Real estate led the sectors as it ended 6.93% up, while the transportation was alone on the red list with 1.08% less.

Tuesday’s trading saw advancers beating decliners by  28 to 10 with two on a flat note.

Barwa Brokerage and Investment Holding was the best performer with a growth of 10%, while Doha Bank was the worst after going 7.14% down.

Qatar Gas Transport Company made the biggest trading volume with 3.01 million shares traded, whereas Gulf International saw the biggest liquidity with near QAR 148 million

The Qatari benchmark index yesterday shrank 4.38% or about 462.65 points, reaching the level of 10,090.81 points.
