Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) benchmark index closed Wednesday’s session higher 0.36% or more than 37 points to the level of 10,435.67 points.
Also, Al Rayan Islamic Index surged 0.48% to 3,845.4 points, and the All Shares Index leapt 0.45% to 2,777.19 points.
Trading volume reached 3.90 million shares exchanged at QAR 152.02 million through 2,826 trades, versus 4.8 million shares worth QAR 199.76 million reached through 2,562 trades.
The bourse’s main sectors moved up semi-collectively, as telecom was the number one player gaining 0.84%, while insurance dropped alone by 1.12%.
Out of 40 companies, 26 shares closed higher, 11 others declined, and the three remaining were flat.
Aamal Holding was the top riser with 5.38%, while Zad Holding was the lowest share with a retreat of 4.81%.
Salam International was the most active in terms of volume with about 642,600 shares traded, whereas Qatar National Bank was the value leader with liquidity near QAR 19 million.
Yesterday, the main index edged up 0.4 point to the level of 10,398.33 points.
