QSE’s main index gains more than 95 points

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index continued rising on Monday as it closed with a growth of 0.92% or about 95.15 points to the level of 10,397.95 points.

Al Rayan Islamic Index increased 0.99% to 3,845.21 points, and the All Shares Index moved up 0.84% to 2,765.4 points.  

Trading volume reached 6.19 million shares valued at QAR 249.97 million through 3,255 trades, compared to 3.67 shares exchanged yesterday in 2,219 trades worth QAR 125.73 million.

“Support levels ranged today between 10,300 and 10,350 points, while the resistance levels were 10,400, 10,450 and 10,500 points,” financial analyst Ayoub Eshban told Mubasher.

The Insurance sector rose 2.02%, while transportation fell alone by 0.36%.

Out of 41 companies, 30 shares closed higher, seven others declined, and four shares were flat.

Islamic Holding was the top performer with a rise of 4.44%, whereas Zad Holding was the top loser with a drop of 3.12%.

Gulf International was the most active in terms of volume and value with around 1.16 million traded shares and liquidity near QAR 61 million.

The main index closed Sunday with a rise of 0.43% or about 44.1 points to 10,302.80 points.
