Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose in Tuesday's mid trading by 0.08% or 8.3 points to the level of 10,004.75 points, its highest level since two weeks.
Trading volume reached 5.8 million shares exchanged at QAR 164.8 million through 2,895 trades.
The consumer goods and services was the best performing sector with an increase of 1.02%, backed by the rise in Medicare Group and Widam Food.
On the other hand, the telecom was the worst performing sector after falling 1.16% as Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar shrank.
Gulf International topped gainers by adding 4.35%, while Al Khalij Takaful led decliners after dropping 4.7%.
Gulf International made the highest trading activity with 1.8 million shares exchanged at QAR 66.71 million.
The index rose yesterday by 0.46% or 46.08 points to the level of 9,996.45 points.
