Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) finished Thursday’s volatile trading day in the red zone for the second respective day.
The main benchmark closed off 133.6 points or 1.39% to 3,415.91 points. QE Al Rayan Islamic Index also dropped 1.53% to 3,415.91 points. Likewise, QE All Share Index ended the day down 1.41% at 2,532.5 points.
Trading volume rose 14.6% to 8.5 million shares versus 7.42 million shares yesterday, while trading value was up 24.5% to QAR318.55 million from QAR255.95 million.
All sectors saw a continuing decline of 2.22%; however, QE insurance was less affected with a fall of 0.05%.
Gulf International Services topped a list of 33 decliners after falling 6.13%. Meanwhile, the best out of seven advancers was Al Khaleej Takaful Group that edged up 3.16%
The most active stock, in terms of trade and volume, was Gulf International Services after 2.79 million shares were exchanged at a turnover of QAR83.67 million in 980 transactions.
