Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Wednesday’s trading in the green zone as its benchmark rose 1.76% or 178.95 points to the level of 10,319.74 points; the highest daily gains since 7 June.
Trading volume reached 7.09 million shares exchanged at QAR 270.8 million, compared to 4.7 million shares exchanged on Tuesday at QAR 142.6 million.
The bourse’s sectors grew collectively, topped by the insurance sector with a growth of 3.85% as Qatar Insurance led gainers by adding 5.21%.
The real estate sector leapt 2.42%, backed by an increase of 2.72% in Ezdan Holding. The telecom sector advanced 2.32%.
The banking, industrial and transportation sectors also grew by 1.16%, 0.94% and 0.67% respectively.
Widam Food topped the red list with a fall of 2.63%.
Gulf Warehousing made the highest liquidity of QAR 50.82 million, while Qatar First Bank made the highest trading volume activity with 1.1 million shares.
