QSE sees losses on real estate stocks

Doha-Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw a bearish performance on Tuesday.

The general index lost 0.07% or 7 points to reach 10,177.55 points.

Al Rayan Islamic index declined 0.01%, while the All Share index also decreased by 0.16%.

Turnover reached QAR 302.7 million on Tuesday, compared to QAR 359.23 million on Monday.

Trading volume stood at 8.34 million shares, compared to 9.82 million shares.

The real estate sector fell 1.09%, weighed by Ezdan Holding Group which declined 1.49% and 0.25% in a row.

On the flipside, the telecom sector rose 0.95% as Ooredoo added 1.45%.

Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Company topped gainers with a 4.6% rise, while Alijarah led losers after falling 3.58%.

Gulf International Services was the most active company after trading 1.05 million shares, with a turnover of QAR 35.1 million.

Qatari Investors Group was the value leader with a turnover of QAR 55 million generated from the exchange of 986,010 shares.
