Doha-Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw a bearish performance in Thursday’s early trades.
The general index lost 0.69% or 69.43 points to reach 9,940.52 points.
The market saw trading of 1.82 million shares through 1,010 transactions, with a turnover of QAR 46.44 million.
The insurance sector was the worst performer after adding 2.86%, weighed by Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Company which lost 5.96%.
The telecom sector fell 1.06%, followed by the banks, real estate, and consumer goods and services at 0.66%, 0.54% and 0.23%, respectively.
The transportation sector decreased 0.44% as Gulf Warehousing Co. and Milaha retreated 1.45% and 1.36%, respectively.
Vodafone Qatar was the most active company after generating 1.01 million shares, with a turnover of AED 11.25 million.
