Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) levelled up by 0.44% or 48.33 points to reach 10,989.76 points by the week ended 26 January from 10,941.43 points by the week ended 19 January.
During the week, liquidity shrank by 15.14% to reach QAR 1.4 billion from QAR 1.61 billion a week ago, as trading volume decreased by 9.60% to total 44.6 million shares from 49.32 million.
Market cap gained 0.43% or QAR 2.51 billion to reach QAR 588.41 billion this week from QAR 585.9 billion in the previous week.
The banks segment topped the gainers of the week with a rise of 35.31%, followed by the real estate sector which rose by 24.01%.
Masrf Al Rayan was the top performer this week by 9.18%, followed by Barwa Real Estate which rose by 8.42%.
