QSE shares extend rally 0.44% at close

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s main index continued its positive performance for the fourth consecutive session, as it advanced on Sunday by 0.44% or around 43.08 points to 10,302.80 points.  

The stronger gains come in line with a forecast prepared by financial analyst Ayoub Eshban who earlier today told Mubasher that “QSE will continue its positive performance in the upcoming period, reaching far beyond the level of 10,000 points.”

Also, QE Al Rayan Islamic Index rose 0.23% to 3,807.5 points, and the All Shares Index leapt 0.36% to 2,742.3 points.

Trading volume reached 3.67 million shares valued at QAR 125.73 million through 2,219 trades, versus 6.27 million shares exchanged through 3,797 trades worth QAR 229.88 million last session.

“Support levels ranged today between 10,250 and 10,300 points, and the resistances were 10,350, 10,400 and 10,500 points,” markets analyst Ayoub Eshban explained to Mubasher.

The industrial sector grew1.21% to become the biggest winner, while insurance was the lowest sector with a fall of 0.70%.

Out of 38 companies, 22 shares closed higher, 13 others shrank, and the three remaining stood at the same rates.

Ahli Bank Qatar was the strongest share with a rise of 5.72%, whereas Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development was the top decliner with 1.46%.

Gulf International was the most active in terms of volume and value with 982,040 traded shares that are estimated at nearly OMR 51 million.

The main index closed Thursday at the level of 10,258.72 points after rising 0.41% or about 41.5 points.
