Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday’s trading session down, dragged down by the banking sector.
By 09:55 am Qatar time, the general index fell 10.17 points, or 0.11%, to 8,926.60 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 26.8 million after 952,600 shares were exchanged through 325 transactions.
The banking sector topped the QSE’s decliners falling 0.26% as Masraf Al Rayan and Qatar National Bank went down 1.69% and 0.08%, respectively.
On the flipside, the goods sector topped the bourse’s gainers adding 0.32%, pushed up by Medicare Group and Qatar Fuel which levelled up 0.74% and 0.49%, respectively.
The industrial sector rose 0.19% after Mesaieed jumped 1.51%.
Doha Bank’s stock, which inched up 0.04%, headed the market in terms of trading volume with 442,400 shares, generating QAR 11.6 million in a turnover.
