Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Sunday’s session falling 1.9% or 189.22 points to the level of 9,777.13 points.
By 10:15 AM Doha time, trading volume reached 2.21 million shares exchanged at QAR 57.9 million through 1,070 transactions.
The bourse’s sectors declined collectively, topped by the real estate sector with a fall of 3.46% as Ezdan Holding shrank 3.99%.
The industrial sector also retreated by 2.14%, pressured by a 2.52% decrease in Gulf International Services, which made the highest liquidity of QAR 9.33 million.
The insurance and telecom sectors fell by 1.96% and 1.92% respectively.
Qatar First Bank was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 519,740 shares.
