Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) declined at Wednesday’s open by 1.96% or 195.74 points to the level of 9,789.52 points.
Trading volume reached 2.4 million shares exchanged by 10:15am Doha time through 1,190 transactions, making a turnover of QAR 63.46 million.
The index was pressured by a collective fall in blue chips as QNB dropped 2.44%, Ezdan Holding slid 2.66%, and Industries Qatar slipped 1.19%.
The real estate, industrial and banking sectors fell by 2.73%, 2.02% and 1.97% respectively.
The consumer goods and services sector decreased 1.45%, the insurance sector fell 0.88%, the telecom sector declined 0.63% and the transportation sector shrank 0.35%.
