Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) ended Monday’s trading session in negative territory.
The general index declined 23 points, or 0.24%, to finish at to 9,790.2 points.
The bourse’s liquidity decreased by 42.4% to QAR 179.41 million on Monday from QAR 311.38 million on Sunday, while the trading volume plunged 54.4% to 4.34 million shares against 9.51 million in the previous session.
The telecommunication sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 1.15%.
Meanwhile, the real estate and goods sectors were the bourse’s only gainers adding 1.18% and 0.56%, respectively.
By the end of the session, Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) stock, which advanced 0.66%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 28.52 million, while Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) stock, which rose 1.9%, spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 417,930 shares.
