Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell at Monday’s close by 0.46% or 45.11 points to the level of 9,689.07 points.
Trading volume increased to 5.48 million shares from 4.92 million shares exchanged on Sunday, turnover also rose to QAR 146.9 million from QAR 139.8 million.
The banking sector dropped 0.91% as Al Khaliji Bank slid 2.55%, the telecom sector shrank 0.84% due to a 4.66% decrease in Vodafone Qatar.
The real estate sector slid 0.33%, dragged by a 0.66% decline in Barwa Real Estate.
On the flipside, the transportation sector grew 0.14% as Gulf Warehousing advanced 0.40%.
The insurance sector leapt 0.40%, backed by a rise of 0.09% in Qatar General Insurance, the best performer, while Al Khaleej Takaful led the red list after falling by 4.68%.
