Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday trading session down, dragged by the drop of five sectors.
By 10:10 am Qatar time, the general index fell 59.30 points, or 0.65%, to 8,955.85 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 32.2 million after 1.7 million shares were exchanged through 656 transactions.
The banking sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 0.56%, pressured by Commercial Bank of Qatar which levelled down 2.93%.
Similarly, the real estate sector decreased 0.23% after Barwa Real Estate went down 0.53%.
On the flipside, the industrial sector was the bourse’s only gainer adding 0.21% as Aamal Company jumped 5.15%.
Gulf International Services’ stock, which rose 2.04%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 592,020 shares, generating QAR 12.48 million in a liquidity.
