Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Tuesday’s session on a negative note as its main index declined by 0.76% or 65.05 points to the level of 9,679.92 points.
Trading volume increased to 11.11 million shares from 6.05 million shares exchanged on Monday, turnover also grew to QAR 244.96 million from QAR 230.61 million.
QNB declined 0.66%, Ezdan Holding shrank 2.06% and Qatar Insurance slid 0.85%.
The real estate sector dropped 1.47%, the telecom sector slipped 0.71% as Vodafone Qatar, down 4.13%, was the worst performing stock, and the insurance sector fell 0.67%.
The banking sector decreased 0.46% due to a 3.07% fall in Commercial Bank of Qatar, the industrial and transportation sectors declined by 0.22% and 0.05% respectively.
