Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday trading session down, pressured by the drop of the six sectors.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, the main index fell 66.18 points, or 0.73 %, to 9,032.46 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 16.7 million after 1.3 million shares were traded through 277 transactions.
The real estate sector topped the QSE’s six losers falling 1.63%, dragged by Ezdan Holding Group which went down 2.44%.
The industrial sector levelled down 0.73% after the drop of Industries Qatar and Aamal Company which decreased 1.53% and 1.01%, respectively, which the banking sector edged down 0.69% due to Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding’s 2.89% fall.
On the other hand, the insurance sector was the market’s only gainer adding 1.69% as Qatar Insurance rose 2.42%.
Qatar First Bank, which advanced 0.15%, led the bourse in terms of trading volume with 814,100 shares, generating QAR 5.3 million.
