Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark of Qatar Stock Exchange dropped 0.71% or 68.41 points to 9,629.96 points after an hour of trading on Wednesday, amid a semi-collective decline of sectors.
By 10:30am Qatar time, 2.3 million shares were exchanged at a turnover of QAR 10.99 million in 1,448 transactions.
The laggards at early trading were headed by the telecoms (-1.44%), then came consumer goods & services (-1.37%), banks (-1.10%), transportation (-1.09%), real estate (0.72%), and finally insurance (-0.03%). Meanwhile, the industrials edged up 0.42%.
The best advancer today was Islamic Holding with a rise of 3.13%, while the worst loser was Gulf International with a decline of 3.33%.
