Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday’s trading session down, dragged lower by the drop of five sectors.
By 09:55 am Qatar time, the general index fell 71.94 points, or 0.80 %, to 8,905.91 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 42.5 million after 2.1 million shares changed hands through 1,400 transactions.
The industrial sector topped the QSE’s decliners falling 0.60% as Industries Qatar went down 1.34%
Similarly, the banking sector inched down 0.38% as Qatar National Bank (QNB) declined 0.28%.
Meanwhile, the real estate sector topped the bourse’s gainers adding 0.58% after Ezdan Holding Group grew 1.82%, while the goods sector inched up 0.02% as Medicare and Qatar Fuel rose 0.83% and 0.16%, respectively.
Gulf International’s stock, which advanced 1.21%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 500,300 shares, generating QAR 10.1 million.
