Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Thursday's trading session with a negative performance, pressured by the fall of five sectors.
The general index plunged 74.7 points, or 0.75%, to close at 9,886.86 points.
The bourse’s trading volume slumped 33.9% to 6.78 million shares, from 10.26 million shares on Wednesday, while traded value tumbled 45.4%, reaching QAR 172.74 million, from QAR 316.17 million.
The industrials sector fell 1.3%, whereas the consumer goods and services sector rose 0.47%, and the real estate sector inched up 0.46%.
Qatar Islamic Insurance’s (QISI) stock led losers with 3.94%, whereas Mannai Corporation’s stock topped gainers with 3%.
The Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, down 0.29%, was the most active in terms of liquidity after generating QAR 40.3 million in a turnover, while Ezdan Holding Group’s stock, up 0.92%, led in terms of trading volume after 2.2 million shares were exchanged.
