Doha – Mubasher: Traders of the Qatari bourse are currently repositioning their stocks, which suggests the exchange’s active trend may extend further to see position-building, financial analyst Ayoub Eshban said. “Meanwhile, if the benchmark broke below the level of 10,800 to 10,750 points, it will keep diving to the area of 10,650 points.”
The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index on Monday morning broke the level of 10,850 points as earlier expected to test a support at 10,750 and 10,800 points, before ending the session at the level of 10,810 points, the analyst added.
QSE closed yesterday with a drop of 0.46% or about 50 points, reaching 10,810.37 points, amid mixed performance by its sectors.
“Yesterday we saw a pressure exerted by the leading shares at early session, which turned the bourse to red and later deepened its fall, before seeing a hive of purchasing activity that helped in cutting the bourse’s loss of 80 points to 50 points at close,” Eshban explained.
