Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened the week in the negative territory, touching a 2-year low as it shed more than 500 points or 5.54% to 8,676.04 points in Sunday’s early trading.
Al Rayan Islamic Index and the All Shares Index were down by 6.49% and 5.33%, respectively.
Trading volume came to 3.64 million shares which were exchanged through 2,055 trades worth QAR 105.3 million.
Amid complete absence of risers at morning, the red list was headed by Doha Insurance, Islamic Holding and Qatari investors which dropped by 9.86%, 9.8% and 9.21%, respectively.
Masraf Al Rayan was the best performer in terms of trading volume as 437,300 shares were traded, whereas Gulf International led in value as it generated QAR 15 million.
