QSE slides 116.31 pts at Tuesday’s open

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell 1.31% or 116.31 points to reach 9,081.97 points, registering its lowest level since a year and half.

The sectors dropped collectively, as the transportation sector declined 3.95% after Gulf Warehousing and Qatar Gas Transport Company Ltd (Nakilat) decreased 8.89% and 4.48%, respectively.

The real estate sector lost 2% after Mazaya Qatar went down 2.66% and Ezdan Holding Group levelled down 1.94%.

Liquidity reached QAR 90.49 million, after 4.4 million shares exchanged, through 1,030 transactions.

Vodafone Qatar’s stock led in terms of trading volume with 1.5 million shares, falling 0.13%, while Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) led in terms of traded value with a turnover of QAR 22.3 million, declining 0.37%.

Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, and the UAE broke their diplomatic relations with Qatar on Monday.
