Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Wednesday in the red zone after falling 1.75% or 156.64 points, reaching 8,777.73 points.
The sectors tumbled collectively as the real estate sector lost 2.93% after Ezdan Holding Group went down 3.55%.
The industrials sector levelled down 2.05% as Industries Qatar decreased 2.65%.
The banks sector declined 2.02% after Qatar National Bank (QNB) dropped 2.14%.
On the other hand, six stocks grew, topped by Al Khaleej Takaful Group which gained 5.8%.
Traded volume rose to 14.87 million shares on Wednesday against 9.74 million on Tuesday, while liquidity soared to QAR 435.54 million from QAR 282.92 million.
Doha Bank’s stock led in terms of trading volume with 3.42 million shares exchanged at a turnover of QAR 100.94 million, decreasing 2%.
Earlier on Wednesday, the benchmark index lost 0.78% or 69.56 points to reach 8,864.81 points.
