Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell 0.24% or 24.15 points to reach 10,099.08 points in Monday’s early trades.
Four sectors dropped, led by the telecoms sector with 1.97% as Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar lost 2.3% and 0.23%, respectively.
The transportation sector declined 0.64% after Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) decreased 1.23% and Qatar Navigation (Milaha) went down 0.43%.
The banks sector levelled down 0.41% as Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) and Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) tumbled 2.7% and 0.66%, respectively.
On the other hand, two sectors rose, with the real estate sector gaining 1.43%, and the consumer goods and services sector adding 0.4%, while the insurance sector remained stable.
Turnover on QSE amounted to QAR 15.6 million after 795,840 shares were traded through 295 transactions.
Ezdan Holding Group led in terms of trading volume with 223,200 shares exchanged, while Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding was the most active stock in terms of traded value with a liquidity of QAR 4.58 million.
