QSE slides 25 pts at Thursday’s close

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Thursday in the red zone after decreasing 0.31% or 24.97 points to reach 8,146.23 points.

The industrials sector shed 0.26% as Aamal Co’s stock lost 1.57%, while the banks sector inched down 0.22% after Qatar Oman Investment Company’s stock fell 1.97%.

On the other hand, the real estate sector edged up 0.75% as the stocks of Ezdan Holding Group, and Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development went up 1.60%, and 0.25%, respectively.

Qatar Islamic Insurance’s stock led QSE’s losers with 2.78%, whereas National Leasing Holding Company’s (Alijarah) stock was the best performer after growing 1.81%.

The bourse’s trading volume stood at 3.90 million shares on Thursday, against 6.09 million on Wednesday, while liquidity retreated to QAR 112.83 million, from QAR 132.07 million.

Investment Holding Group’s stock topped QSE in terms of traded volume after 1.2 million shares were exchanged, despite dropping 1.36%, while Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock led in terms of trading value with a turnover of QAR 25.2 million, closing at QAR 121.10.
