Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell 0.33% or 33.5 points to 10,172.11 points in Thursday’s early trades.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, most sectors decreased, with the exception of the insurance sector which remained stable.
The services sector lost 1.17% as Medicare Group, Qatar Fuel (Woqod), and QG for Medical Devices shed 2.13%, 1.74%, and 1.19%, respectively.
The industrials sector declined 0.51% after Qatari Investors Group dropped 1.72%, followed by Industries Qatar with 0.93%, while Gulf International Services lost 0.58%.
The telecoms sector decreased 0.34% as Vodafone Qatar shed 0.63% and Ooredoo Qatar levelled down 0.28% after reporting a 33.5% drop in profits to QAR 584.11 million in the first quarter of 2017, compared to QAR 878.64 million in Q1-16.
Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development led losers with 4.64%, after disclosing a profit plunge by 81.2% to QAR 5.02 million in Q1-17, compared to QAR 26.7 million in Q1-16.
Liquidity reached QAR 22.41 million after 927,890 were exchanged through 433 transactions.
Mazaya Qatar led in terms of traded volume with 430,340 shares at a value of QAR 5.54 million.
